do good.

This quote, introduced to me by my beautiful & wonderful "Little", is a motto DGs strive to live by.  As members, we are called to "do good" in all aspects of our lives.  And doing good is more than just words, but our daily actions.  It is my hope to not only do well in my year as a consultant, but to bring good into the lives of the chapters and women I meet.  Because that is what DGs do :)

whoa oh, i want some more

Here is a short video that puts a cute spin on a very important aspect of Delta Gamma, human dignity (and features last year's CDC team!).  As a CDC, it will be my personal responsibility to uphold the ideals & values of DG while inspiring chapters to live our values daily.

the start of something beautiful

Well, here it goes!  My first time blogging and what perfect inspiration...the beginning of my travels as a Collegiate Development Consultant for Delta Gamma Fraternity.  This truly is the job I have hoped for ever since starting my collegiate experience at Purdue when I joined DG.  And now it has begun!  I am lucky to be working with 10 other fantastic sisters who share the same passion and love for the organization.  From first meeting these women at the interviews, I knew they would begin to inspire me.  And they already have!

As I prepared for Officer Training Seminar last week, I had butterflies in my stomach.  I was so excited to see the rest of the CDC team and the influential Council & Cabinet members who would begin to train us.  I felt so many emotions at once but ultimately was purely happy to be in such great company for the weekend.  The trip to Columbus couldn't have been better with CDC Kasia, Eta Theta-SLU, who already has been such a blessing in my life!

OTS rocked.  We learned so much about the National Panhellenic Conference (especially the importance of embracing other groups...we are all Greeks and in this to grow together!), the Delta Gamma Foundation, and how to be tech savvy while on the road (eek I have to get a Twitter...wasn't sure I was ready for that band wagon!).  We ate wonderful meals, had inspiring speakers, and met hundreds of dedicated DGs. What could be better than that?

2011-2012 CDCs

The countdown til moving to Executive Offices in Columbus has begun!  3 short weeks until I will be living with the team in the Martin Center.  Come July 18th I will be embarking on a life-changing experience.  Cannot wait to "do good" this year.  SO much more to come :)
